PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Cathedral Court is located in the heart of the historic Mount Vernon Neighborhood of Baltimore. The Inner Harbor and Downtown are within walking distance. Stations for the light rail, subway and metro buses are all very close by.
The building was built in the mid 1860's as The Albion Hotel, and was completely remodeled in 1989. The outside of the building remains the same as when it was built. However, the inside has been modernized.
Cathedral Court is a controlled access building. To gain access, residents must use their key to pass through a gate that leads into the courtyard.
In addition to the 58 apartments in the building, there are four retail spaces. On the ground floor there are two excellent restaurants, a pharmacy, and a karate studio. There are over 25 unique apartment floor plans in the building. They include: studios, one bedroom's, one bedroom deluxe's, two bedroom's with one bath and two bedroom's with two full baths. Many of the one and two bedroom apartments have balconies overlooking the courtyard. The studio apartments range from 500 to 600 square feet. The one bedroom units range from 600 to 1,100 square feet. The two bedroom units are between 1,000 and 1,500 square feet.
All apartments have an in-unit washer/dryer, a frost-free refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and an electric stove. In addition, each unit comes equipped with a blind for each window, wall-to-wall carpet and central AC and heat. The AC and heating units are located within each apartment and are individually controlled.
Management pays for the water used, and each resident is responsible for electricity. There is no gas service in the building.
Cathedral Court is a Pet Friendly building and even has a special area of the courtyard reserved as a pet walking area. A $250 deposit and a $20 per month pet rent are required for each pet that will be residing in the apartment.
The building also has its own parking garage. A parking spot in the secured access garage will cost an additional $150 per month.
